Aspect Paving & Groundworks Ltd was founded in 2019 by Mark Brown, a third-generation civil engineering professional based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.
We specialise in driveway installation, porcelain paving, and patio design for residential and commercial clients across Chelmsford and the wider Essex area.

Mark comes from a civil engineering family with roots going back three
generations. His grandfather and father both worked in the industry, including a civil engineering contract for the London Borough of Havering. Mark spent his career in civil engineering before establishing Aspect Paving & Groundworks in 2019, bringing professional-grade knowledge and standards to domestic and commercial paving projects.
That background makes a practical difference on every job. Correct drainage assessment, proper sub-base preparation, and attention to how a surface will perform over time. These are things that come naturally when your training goes beyond paving.

Our Working Process
We visit every site before quoting, measure accurately and bring material samples so you can see the options in context.
For patio projects, we also work from a scale drawing to help us plan the layout accurately before work begins.
