Porcelain Paving Specialists
in Essex
Porcelain has become the material of choice for homeowners who want a low maintenance, high-end finish that works equally well indoors and out.
At Aspect Paving & Groundworks, it's a product we specialise in — from helping you choose the right stone through to laying it to the standard the material demands.
The Right Material. Installed the Right Way.
Porcelain paving is unforgiving of poor installation. It requires a solid, level subbase and the correct adhesive bed. If it is laid on sand, it will move and crack. We only install porcelain on a full mortar or adhesive bed to the manufacturer's specification, ensuring the finish performs as well as it looks.
We work with a wide range of Italian and Spanish porcelain products in large format sizes — including 1200mm x 600mm slabs — in both contemporary and traditional finishes. Whether you're looking for a sleek modern patio, a statement garden terrace, or a porcelain pathway, we'll help you find the right product and deliver a result you'll be pleased with for years.

FAQ — PORCELAIN PAVING
Why is porcelain better than natural stone?
Porcelain is denser and less porous than most natural stones, which means it resists staining, moss, and algae far more effectively and requires very little maintenance. It also holds its colour and surface finish for longer. That said, some customers prefer the natural variation of stone — we're happy to discuss both options.
How is porcelain paving installed?
Porcelain must be laid on a full mortar or adhesive bed — not on sand. The subbase needs to be solid and level before any paving goes down. We follow manufacturer specification on every installation, which is what ensures the finish performs as well as it looks over time.
What sizes of porcelain do you supply and install?
We work with a wide range of formats including large-format 1200mm x 600mm slabs as well as standard sizes, in both Italian and Spanish porcelain across contemporary and traditional finishes. We bring samples to your property so you can see the material in your own outdoor light before deciding.
